New rail routes between China and Europe will change trade patterns

Kazakhstan's position is an essential crossroads of land-based trade between Europe and China. Freight traffic in this area is steadily growing, last year over 500,000 tonnes of freight have been passed through Kazakhstan. Developing a rail-freight network is part of the 'One Belt One Road' project. Kazakhstan has already invested more than $ 3.2 million to upgrade its railway line and this is already showing excellent results.
